Principia

Principia (the commandment building) is the foremost building in the fort. The monument centrally located in the internal structure of the fort had an inner court that was paved with lateral rooms.

The rooms had various purposes: offices, the sacred room of flags, the basilica, the court etc. Principia was located in the crossing of the most important roads inside the fort: via praetoria, via decumana, via principalis.
